schools need to be protected and a safe place for all students with different walks of life, This is why Title  IX is important

The Title IX outlines duties not just for the Title IX Coordinator and their deputies but for Responsible Employees which are everyone who participates educational program and activities: faculty, success coaches, student finance, bursar, career services, administrators, and other staff members.

From this module, I learned the importance of timely and accurate reporting as well as the need to follow clear response procedures. I realized that effective reporting not only ensures accountability but also helps protect everyone involved by addressing concerns quickly. Moving forward, I intend to apply this by being more observant, documenting details carefully, and responding according to the established guidelines. This will help me act responsibly and contribute to a safer, more supportive environment.

After reviewing the information on Title IX, VAWA, and the Clery Act, I found it enlightening to see how each of these laws plays a unique role in promoting safety and equity within educational institutions. While they have distinct purposes and approaches—Title IX focusing on gender equity, VAWA addressing violence against women, and the Clery Act ensuring transparency in campus crime reporting—they also share important similarities. Most importantly, they all exist to protect us, to create safer and more inclusive environments, and to ensure that our rights are respected. Their combined impact is a powerful reminder of the importance of legal frameworks in safeguarding our communities.

The Title 1X appointed officer has to be very judicious in his/her role... from providing training to maintaining confidentiality to conducting investigations and not having a conflict of interest to jeopardize justice being done in a case. I think it takes one with great qualifications and superb emotional intelligence to do this job well.

A key role of a Title IX Coordinator is to educate the school community about sexual and gender-based harassment. This includes training all employees on how to recognize harassment, understand their reporting responsibilities, and respond appropriately when faced with such situations. This training helps create a more informed and supportive environment for students

I've learned so much more about the scope, detail, and responsibilities of Title IX.

We should report any sort of sexual harassment immediately whether its written, overheard or brought up in any fashion.

Responsible Employees have an obligation to report sexual misconduct under Title IX

In this topic, we understand that being a reporter is part of our responsibility. We, as leaders, must uphold the law and ensure that when something is not correct or unlawful, we must act and report in order to remain in compliance and protect those in the workplace.

I learned that being a 'responsible reporter' means reporting any violations of title IX, even when information is received indirectly.

I learned that a school employee is still required to report a sexual violence incident, even if they heard about the incident indirectly.

we all have to be vigilant and alert to observe and possibly report any abnormal behavior or contact to make sure everyone is safe and protected

This is so important. We need to prevent abuse.

reporting procedures.

As an employee we must report any violations. The school is a safe place to report violations.

The school is a safe place to report Title IX violations.

Title IX have many safety measures put in place.

Title IX mandates all institutions have qualified personnel to handle situations that involving sexual discrimination (all forms) and know how to handle situations. VAWA makes it clear that it is every ones responsibility to keep campuses safe and report any wrong doings.

Title IX outlines the duties of the Title IX Coordinator including their deputies and other Responsible Employees. These people are responsible for the proper enforcement and application of all Title IX rules. They are to be a visible presence at the institution, who continually maintain records; investigate incidents, assess awareness, attitudes and overall climate of these matters; and all while balancing confidentiality with overall safety of the school.
