I've learned that the punishment for an offender should match the frequency and severity of the offence, regardless of the sex of the offender. This, I believe, should serve as a deterrent to those individuals who are repeat offenders of "minor" offences. I'm a little dubious about some of these statement as I've been made aware of incidences that go unpunished, as the offence did not seem to rise to that of what is considered offensive enough to be given consideration by organizations. I'm glad I'm now getting more in-depth knowledge as this will give a better footing if I'm… >>>

There are so many facets to the act of investigating a Title 1X complaint, all of which must be addressed in a timely manner, and without biases. It makes me wonder how successfully these are conducted yearly, and if a perpetrator is not found to meet the prosecutorial standards for the act he is accused of, how likely will institutions be to continue their investigation impartially, as they should... all things considered, and especially, in the situations where race may play a part.

The Title 1X appointed officer has to be very judicious in his/her role... from providing training to maintaining confidentiality to conducting investigations and not having a conflict of interest to jeopardize justice being done in a case. I think it takes one with great qualifications and superb emotional intelligence to do this job well.

It is important that people are aware that there are provisions in place to protect them when they are faced with sexual harassment or discrimination of any kind, and that institutions are being held responsible for providing a safe environment for individuals; education before incidents occur, and support should they occur.

I've taught in a hospital setting where material was given to the students for them to prepare for the classroom, and the feedback from those who actually prepared was that they enjoyed the classroom session as they felt they learned more of the subject, and or understood the pre-class material better...This was always a plus.

Successful teachers will utilize a variety of learning styles to ensure all their students have the opportunity to grasp the knowledge being disseminated.

One's monolinguistic proficiency is not a good bench march for judging a person's cognitive ability, as multilinguistic people often are more cognitively apt.

I've understood that within some cultures there can be different races, and therefore potential for conflicts. This amplifies for me the fact every person should be respected for the individual they are, in order for there to be wholesome existence.

It is my opinion that women being denied education in some cultures is just as bad as stereotyping in this country where it can be inferred that women are good at math for example and are not given the opportunity to prove otherwise.  With cultural diversity in mind, we have to be mindful that we are not perpetuating the same injustice on someone but doing it from another angle.

By first analyzing and defining a problem and all its components, a plan can be developed that will adequately and permanently be the solution. Failure to do this can lead loss of confidence and more problems than the initial issue.
