Focus on motivating students and giving them immediate feedback.

I have to keep the students interested and motivated

Focusing on motivating the students to succeed is just as important as expressing excitement for the field.

 

To engage students in the learning process, I must offer daily feedback, praise their efforts, and acknowledge when they’ve done a great job. It's important to provide clear expectations so students understand what’s required of them. I've also realized that, beyond being an educator, I serve as a support system for my students.

Student motivation an be encouraged by including the students with decission making.  Reconizing even the smallest accomplishments motivates the students to do better.

I like to encourage my students to push their selves there is no I can't, yes you can, you can do anything as long as you put your mind to it.

I learned the importance of knowing your students and the role of positive reinformcement. That students must retain information from your class in order to benefit from the learning. The difference between sematic memory and espisodic memory and how it influences learning.

Motivation in the classroom is important to provide dynamic and understandable learning for students, and the use of tools during the teaching process helps us achieve our objectives in a more didactic way and will impact their professional success.

This module has taught me that motivating students requires maintaining their interest, showing them the relevance of the content being shown in class (linking the content to real-life situations in their field), and helping boost their confidence. 

Using positive reinforcement is a great way to keep students motivated and engaged. Never call out and embarrass a student, because then they will enter survival mode and not learning mode. 

Having a good rapport with students will help motivate them.

I have learned that by building strong relationships with my students I can help better motivate them to progress in the class.

Motivating the classroom is a very effective way to get student's excited about learning. School itself can be very time consuming and boring. Getting student's motivated by simply engaging with them about your personal success within your industry can excite them. It's exciting starting a new chapter of your life. Many of our student's will start a new chapter of their lives upon graduation by entering their field of study. Throughout the process of teaching and instructing it's our duty as professionals to motivate our students. 

By being a motivated instructor, we can help students stay motivated and help be their support by continuing to acknowledge their growth and progress in the course. 

I plan on using the three components for student motivation; reinforcement, retention, and transference. Also, continuing to practice semantic, and episodic memory teaching with students. 

By first building strong relationships, we as instructors can encourage students to be more open and this gives them a more fulfilling educational experience. Keeping your lessons relevent and engaging can help student retention because they can actually see themselves in that job. Addresseing challenges early on  can help you connect with your students in a way that keeps them interested. We are in the position to guide them through their careers and this helps student retention. 

This module on motivating students has helped me understand the importance of creating an engaging learning environment that encourages students to take ownership of their education. Strategies like fostering a growth mindset, positive reinforcement, and setting clear goals will motivate students. I intend to apply these strategies by creating opportunities for students to feel successful, helping them overcome challenges with a positive outlook, and ensuring that the learning objectives are clear and achievable. I’ll also be mindful of tailoring my approach to each student’s needs, ensuring they are supported and encouraged.
