Student assessments are always hard and I feel as though I am always repeating myself.
I teach composition, so feedback is especially important to me and to the flow of the class. I also have always used and explained the 'sandwich' method, but making the feedback easier to digest sometimes takes me too long. Instead, I tell them what's wrong, how to improve it or provide a revised example.
This module reminded me that varying cultures will have different mindsets with learning/learning outcomes, and that I will need to be mindful of this in a diverse classroom. I also liked the idea of assigning roles for group projects or discussions- this helps everyone work together. If two independent strong personalities both wanted to be the moderator then that could cause an issue, but if the roles are pre-assigned then that issues is already resolved.
Group activities and projects are invaluable to a vet tech student.
Group projects can be so valuable, as once students are in their field, they essentially will have group projects daily. Implementing roles is also commonly done in the industry, so I cold impart the real world benefits, even for students coming from different dynamics.
Establishing rotating roles for group activities is an excellent idea. This approach allows students to experience the various responsibilities of each role, helping them understand what is expected of them. By gaining firsthand experience, they will be better equipped to support one another, especially when a group member takes on a role for the first time. This collaboration fosters personal growth and creates a more positive work environment, ultimately leading to a successful team.
Group activities is the best approach, students learn better
success depends on two factors
1= the effectiveness of the activities
2= the quality of interaction
The effectiveness of group activities (when organized & guided right ) & quality of interactions within & between groups enhances the learning environment by encouraging students to actively and cooperatively engage in their learning.
La evaluación de grupos a través de Proyectos y otras actividades, donde desarrollen responsabilidades, tanto desde el punto de vista colectivo como individual, resultan fructíferas para elevar la calidad del Proceso Docente Educatico
Students enjoy and understand better when involved in a group activity.
In my program profession we can cotreat with other discipline and learning to delegate roles and have a common goal is essential. To this end group activities can teach these skills
Group activity and peer teaching implementing real world scenarios makes teaching more effective and enjoyable for the students .
to be an effective facilitator, student background should be considered to determine the best teaching method for each respective student
There is nothing I revile more than group projects in adult learning.
I believe that to eliminate the probability of one or two learners doing all of the work in a group project, that by having their roles be assigned and then changed will help engage learners that are not as assertive.
