I have an idea for a matching game- each student has a term as well as a random definition. The student with the term reads it aloud and there are up to 3 chances for students to read the correct answer.  Students will get points dependening on if they match on the fist try, second or third. This can be kept as a running score and done in many classes.

MY course had medical terminology as a part of a larger intro course. Quizlet is what is used for individual learning. 

I am looking forards to trying several of these. The baseball idea is very appealing

I would like to implement the strategy of multiple exposures (6) for longer term retention. I will consider building this more and more into real life medical case studies which the students in small groups can work with multiple times

Plan to clearly assign roles or at least a manager to efficiently assign roles within the group. Clearly defined task and clearly defined roles within the task. Allow for internal group discussion and analysis. Facilitate evaluation of the process and outcome

In my program profession we can cotreat with other discipline and learning to delegate roles and have a common goal is essential. To this end group activities can teach these skills

Activity based learning could truly enhance the lecture format. Incorporating clinical case studies early in the curriculum program could be an effective way to start critical thinking and sound decision making abilities

Our classroom set up has a lot of barriers. I will try to circulate around more and not just stay up front and look for ways to reorient the students during the lectures.

The content curriculum is so packed with our program- need to find ways to streamline this to incorporate these facilitation methods as time is short and material is copious and dense.

There is real value to group projects both in the process and the outcome. PBL is an excellent method for collaboration.
