I learned the value of aligning personal motivation with the overall mission of our school. Success doesn’t happen by accident, it comes from everyone working together, aiming for the same target, and embracing a shared vision. The idea of "Want To" vs. "Have To" really stood out to me. When we see our responsibilities as things we want to do, rather than things we have to do, it shifts our mindset and allows us to bring more energy and positivity to our work. We choose to do these things.

I apply this by considering how my attitude affects both the students and my co-workers. Whether I’m teaching a lesson or collaborating with one of our other departments, I focus on how I can contribute to our school's shared goal of empowering our student to succeed. I also model the "Intelligent Heart" by making sure that I’m always thinking about why I’m in this field and how I can help shape the students’ lives for the better.

By focusing on positive outcomes, reducing negativity, and working with an “I want to” mindset, I choose to create a more supportive and successful environment for both the students and the school as a whole.
