This module taught me that instructors influence student retention by modeling, mentoring, and monitoring positive traits. Students learn not only from course content but also from an instructor’s professionalism, communication, empathy, and dedication. As a part-time LVN instructor, I plan to model lifelong learning, accountability, and respect while creating a supportive classroom environment. I will mentor students by providing guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback to help them overcome challenges. I will also monitor student progress through assessments and communication to identify areas needing support. By building trust and strong relationships, I hope to increase student confidence, engagement, and success in nursing education.
