I was not aware of Recovery of Funds.
I'm glad to know that students may have recourse if they are attending a school that loses their accreditation. I have been aware of some programs that have lost their accreditation and felt so bad for the students who have lost time and money.
Recovery Funds
Some states have implemented tuition recovery funds to protect students from colleges which close or have other problems which adversely impact students. Basically, these are similar to an insurance policy in that an assessment is paid into the fund (like an insurance premium) and claims may be paid upon provision of evidence of harm done by the institution. These funds may be claimed by students deemed "victims" under specified conditions which vary by state.
