From the Leadership Development Plan module, I have learned the value of intentional self-assessment, ongoing reflection, and creating structured plans that align personal growth with practical actions to strengthen key leadership competencies such as vision-setting, trust-building, empathy, autonomy, and adaptability. I gained insights into using interactional frameworks to analyze situations dynamically and the importance of continuously evolving as a leader through targeted practices rather than relying on natural strengths alone. I intend to apply this by finalizing and executing a personal leadership development plan that includes regular self-reflection on my impact, implementing bi-weekly empathetic check-ins and autonomy-enhancing strategies with my TdeA teams and research collaborators on projects like MGAR-ETN, seeking feedback from peers and students, and tracking progress on goals such as improved team cohesion and project outcomes over the coming months. This will help me become a more effective, authentic leader capable of driving meaningful change in academic and strategic contexts in Colombia.
