This module increased my awareness of the challenges that students with disabilities may face in online learning environments. I learned that accessibility is not limited to providing accommodations after a problem occurs; rather, it should be an intentional part of course design from the beginning. I also gained a better understanding of assistive technologies, legal requirements, hidden disabilities, and the barriers students may encounter when accessing course materials, websites, and learning management systems.

As an online instructor, I intend to apply these concepts by designing courses that are accessible to a diverse range of learners. I will continue to provide content in multiple formats, use accessible documents and media, and work closely with disability support services when accommodations are needed. This module reinforced the importance of creating an inclusive learning environment where all students have equal opportunities to engage, learn, and succeed.
