This module helped me understand that active learning requires students to do more than listen and take notes. They need opportunities to solve problems, discuss their thinking, and reflect on what they have learned. My role is to guide them with clear instructions, useful activities, and feedback.
In my math classes, I plan to pause after a short explanation and give students a problem to solve on their own or with a partner. I will ask them to explain their reasoning so I can identify misunderstandings and help them build confidence.
