Assuming online instruction remains mostly text-based and in its current format, I couldn't agree with you more. However, do you think improvements in technology may minimize this difficulty? Sometimes audiovisual interaction can be just as good as face-to-face by providing the opportunity of the nonverbal cues and voice inflections that make face-to-face invaluable. Any thoughts?
