Until now I have learned being all human beings we have different characteristics, backgrounds and different preferences that make us unique beings and different from each person. For that reason, as educators we must focus on preparing our instruction not thinking of a certain group but of each student as a unique individual. For this it is important to get to know each student without going over the limits of respect. In this way we can focus our outcome in a more realistic way and also make holistic assessments that allow us to focus not only on the content of what is evaluated but also on the student who performs the evaluation.
I have also asserted that stereotypes are harmful in the educational process not only for the image of the instructor but for the emotional well-being of the student. We must take care of the language and the jokes that we want to introduce during the instruction time in order not to marginalize anyone or hurt susceptibilities.
Also I am more aware of the use of technology and how this can help us to teach in a more center person rather than a group center instruction.
