My previous job was teaching in a brick and mortar college with students in residence halls as well as town students. My current employment is in an accelerated university. The discussion of veterans being older than students and other students not having extensive life experiences that veterans have applies better to the brick and mortar students. In the accelerated program I teach in now, I can see veterans fitting in more naturally.

Later when IEPs were discussed, I appreciate the clarification that faculty would ask the student about their IEPs in previous educational experiences as not to violate FERPA.
