This lesson explores the barriers and risks instructors might face when implementing active classroom learning strategies and offers solutions. When incorporating active learning methods in the classroom, starting slow and limiting the activity's complexity is best. I am easily overwhelmed by all the possible learning activities, so I appreciate the advice. Knowing which activities will foster learning and enable successful content mastery is challenging. I also learned that instructors should set clear expectations and always come to class prepared if the activity does not go as planned.
