When it comes to adult education, there are multiple/other factors that take place in this world of education that may not be present in secondary education. Ensuring that you understand these factors and that the students know their own learning styles helps you be able to present that material in ways that speak with the majority of the students in some way or another. Today most people have multiple learning styles, with two usually being their highest. Being able to have the students understand these learning styles will assist them in being successful and grasping the concepts. We may not be able to touch on all learning styles all the time, but creating the rapport with students allows them to come to us and say that they are struggling with the material, and you can then adapt the information to them specifically in a 1-1 tutoring session. In this session you can also assist them with learning how to take the information and put it in the format they learn best even if the delivery is not in that format.
