From this module, I learned the importance of designing assessments that not only evaluate student learning but also support it throughout the process. Understanding the difference between formative and summative assessments, and how classroom assessment techniques can bridge the gap between theory and application, has been particularly valuable. I also found the focus on active learning meaningful, as it encourages students to apply concepts rather than just memorize them.
I intend to apply this by incorporating more formative assessments and interactive activities in my classroom, such as case-based questions and real-world scenarios, especially in accounting and payroll topics. This will help me continuously monitor student understanding and provide timely feedback, while also preparing them for practical, workplace-related challenges.
