I learned that questioning is an effective teaching technique that promotes critical thinking, student engagement, and deeper understanding. Effective questions should go beyond recalling facts and encourage students to analyze, apply, and evaluate information. Using strategies such as open-ended questions, probing questions, and the Socratic method can help instructors assess student comprehension and encourage active participation. As an instructor, I intend to use purposeful questioning during lectures, discussions, and clinical teaching to identify students’ strengths and areas needing improvement. I will create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and developing clinical reasoning skills.
