Retention strategies with limited resources.......

Looking for innovative strategies for dealing with this global issue; like many institutions our campus has a large and very diverse student population. Meeting all of the needs of each student from different backgrounds with limited financial and human resources can sometimes feel overwhelming as administrators! Ideas???

Larger campuses usually have a culture center with many practicing social workers/majors. build a think tank with those resources. This can also be done by making this process an internship or part of the curriculum for the social science courses.

With smaller campuses maybe reaching out to the local community divisions will help orient the faculty and staff about new or imbedded procedures that help.
