what if a student is dedicated to comming to school but they drop anyway

Denise, I have had students drop that are excellent in the classroom but have outside influences that hinder the process. Finding out what their issues are and keeping contact with them is key. I feel sometimes the student needs that attention.

You're absolutely correct that contact is key and that students value your attention, Abigail, but what techniques do you use to identify these outside influences?

When a student shows great interest in continuing their education or improving themselves I think that every amount of support you can give is much n eeded. They want to better every aspect of their lives but some people give in too easy to any obstacles so if you even take the time to make one personal call and check on them it could make a huge difference!
