Admissions Compliance for Postsecondary Schools in California --> Learn the Basics

Post what you've learned about this topic and how you intend to apply it. Feel free to post questions and comments too.

Este módulo me ha enseñado que mi rol como representante de admisiones se basa en dos pilares: el cumplimiento normativo (Ley BPPE) y la integridad en la consejería al estudiante.

I've realized that staying in compliance can translate to not every student is right for my institution. That we have an obligation to potential students not just to onboard them, but to determine whether our institution would best serve their needs.

It is important to make sure you have a good understanding of your organization, the programs it offers, and what can be gained from completing each program in order to provide accurate information to potential students. It is also important to stay up to date on compliance policies and make sure you thoroughly understand them. You should also know the correct place to find any additional information that may be needed.

Throughout the reading thus far, I have learned to stay in compliance, create a safe and welcoming environment for our students and their families, present accurate and precise resources to make sure the student is given all the correct information.

To give accurate information regarding the programs offfered at your institution, and to be honest with leads when detremening if the institution/program is right for them based on conversations.

Stay in compliance so that we can provide the best services to students as well as staying organized and prepared.

To stay calm and collective while talking to students and even family members. To make sure all the information you are giving out is accurate, and to have your resources accessible.

Reply to Matthew Gibbs's post: Yes, I agree with you Mathew. It is important to interview the prospect student and make sure that they are qualified and meet all the admissions requirements and will be able to successfully complete the program. It is about the quality candidates. Student retention, attendance and graduation rate are also measured by the institution.

As an admission advisor, you are responsible to provide accurate and clear information about the programs and institution to the prospect students. You must present all the information within the guidelines of all the regulated agencies, state, licensing board rules and regulations.

Admissions Advisor play a key role in enrolling qualified students who will benefit from the training program, be able to get gainful employment. You want to enroll prospect students who will meet all the requirements of admissions process, financial aid, entrance exam and be able to successfully complete the program, graduate and be placed for internship/externship and get employed in the workforce.

Stay in complience and help students in the enrollment process.

Stay in complience.
