hard work will pay off in the end
What I learned through this training and with my manager is that, if we follow protocol by going through the profile sheet, we will gather ALOT of information from the students. This information will allow us to gaiin some insight into there lives and then not only has fact finding questions, but questions about how all of these things are making them feel or think. From there, not only can we gain common ground, but gain "buy-in" because we have taken the time to get to know them....and see we care.
Interaction with the students is very important. Alos building a rapport with the students allow them to trust you enough to tell you what could be hindering them from succeeding. It is very important to not only to build a relationship with the student, but also treat them with respect.
