If you give a perspective student a free "sample product" of what they will be using in the classroom that has no monetary value; is this considered inappropriate? (Beauty School Industry)

Since perceptions of "monetary value" vary, I suggest you contact someone from your compliance area for guidance.

I think it depends on the school guide lines. Some may take it as a form of bribery.

Good question. My understanding is we are not supposed to give any free items.

I completly agree with it being precieved as a form of bribery. When you give a prespective student a "gift" or something to take with them.

I agree, absolutely no gifts regardless of the value. I also feel that we must be very careful and not recommend any products or services outside the school.

If the student is not enrolled, it could be seen as a bribe to enroll if you give them a gift even if not monetary.
