The Admissions Presentation – Start to Finish --> Why a Framework?
Post what you've learned about this topic and how you intend to apply it. Feel free to post questions and comments too.
I think small talk is so very important, finding commonalities. You can never go wrong with "How's your day going so far?" or "I really like your earrings/necklace" You can try to make connections by trying to find mutual interests ie: do they like sports? do that have kids? what hobbies do they enjoy? It's nice to have guild lines without having to follow a cold script. Smile when you're talking on the phone, joy can be sensed even on a phone call.
I learned that a successful admissions presentation should be structured, intentional, and focused on the prospect’s needs. Asking open-ended questions and actively listening helps build rapport and allows for a more personalized conversation.
I plan to apply this by guiding conversations more deliberately, improving how I build trust early, and clearly connecting program benefits to each prospect’s goals.
A framework helps make admissions conversations clear, organized, and consistent.
It guides the flow of the meeting from greeting the student, to learning their goals, sharing information, and ending with next steps.
I plan to use this by following a simple structure in every conversation, while still adjusting to each student’s needs.
It helps keep the conversation clear, focused, and student centered.
I think having a framework is much better than a script because it will sound more natural and help you tailor it for your prospect's benefit
