Marketing Director

We have a marketing director who does most of the advertising and public relations for the college. Right now, we're doing online & print advertising, press releases, and community service, among other things. We're talking about implementing ideas from this course and to get more people involved, to broaden our presence in the community. I'm particularly interested in newsletters. Does anybody have some newsletter tips - content, mailing lists, timing, etc.? Thanks!

Great idea that you have a dedicated marketing director and trying various strategies. Really important to measure the results of each plan. What works? What doesn't work? Also use experts to teach you what you don't know. There are a lot of companies that work only with career schools. Check out www.susanfschulz.com and click on vendor resources for a list. Ask them to explain what they do. You'll learn a great deal about your marketing options. As to newsletters, we suggest you start out with a one pager.
