Publicity

We currently rely heavily on alumni referrals. We also do track our demographics of our leads that visit the school. We do have a bi-weely newsletter that is sent out to all newly registered students, current students and staff. We really do not have much in the way of a press release, which I would like to develop.

Annette,
You are totally right - Alumni can generate lots of referrals that result in quality students. MaxKnowledge offers a great online alumni course that lists everything to set up a great Alumni Community. Tracking leads is great. Are you getting leads in a demographic you did not expect? Are leads telling you you might need to offer a new program? Newsletters are very effective. You have to be sure the info is valuable and people can't wait to read it. Press releases are good when you have something newsworthy to say and the information gets sent to the right people. Thanks for all your ideas. Susan
