Not Answering Cost Directly

Has anyone ever acknowledged the question of cost and moved on without having hesitation from the prospective student?

I'm not sure I understand the question John. If you are suggesting that when a student asks about cost or tuition you provide the information, and if there is not hesitation from the student you move on - that's perfectly fine. We like to follow up the presentation of tuition and fees with the question, 'Is that what you expected?' to understand if there are any objections to the cost. We encourage full disclosure of tuition, fees, and what is included or not included to every prospective student with whom you have a conversation whether it be face-to-face or on the phone. Does this answer your question?
