Introduction to Artificial Intelligence --> Foundations of AI
Post what you've learned about this topic and how you intend to apply it. Feel free to post questions and comments too.
I recently had a conversation with a friend that works in the energy sector, specifically he is a high ranking IT professional and we discussed the topic of data centers and their incredible energy needs. This inspired me to learn more about AI. This past module spoke of the processing chips and efforts that are being made to make the processes more efficient. From what my friend described, Data Centers operate as their very own Power Plants, but when the surrounding grid demands more power, these centers are required by law to provide it. I am eager to learn more. If nothing else, I want to prove to my friend I studied something in his wheelhouse
Advancements and breakthroughs in AI will revolutionize human civilization, however ironclad safeguards and protections must be built into it in order to prevent negative or undesirable outcomes that stem from such a powerful technology.
what I liked about AI is introducing techniques to help those students who have difficulties in learning subjects being thought.
Artificial intelligence can be used in the educational environment to create new opportunities for learning and development of new skills. With the advance of AI medicine and nursing will change and we need to be up to date with the latest technology.
AI is the new frontier for the globe. There is the potential for enhancing learning and time saving from the educator stand point. Of course there is some considerations that need to be accounted for and learning as a whole needs to adjust to include the use of AI. This will from educator training in AI and a robust system of lessons learned to refine implementationa and or use.
ive learned that AI has a ton of useful areas, especially in a learning enviorment
I learned different terms such as machine learning and deep learning. I also learned that there are levels of AI which I had not thought about before reading this material.
I learned that AI is a tool educators need to learn and incooperate in order for provide education in real fife simulationss and time.
I have learned about the different kinds of machine learning, primarily. I knew about the different levels of AI, but it was useful to review those again.
AI: Training machnies to be as smart as humans or smarter. So far, I love everything about AI, Chat GPT, fiinding answers to difficult questions...
AI is used for data and algorithms to help identify patterns, improve life or work performance, and make decisions over time.
AI seems like a useful adjunct for course learning, especially for skill-based learning so students can utilize simulations etc. It also seems like a beneficial technology for developing class content, grading, etc. I do think there should be boundaries and clear institution standards on the uses of AI.
REALLY great topic and LOVE the discussion(s) on it's use in the educational setting/realm. While I feel like I learned a great deal in this section, MUCH of it was WAAAAAAY over my head.
When used ethically, AI can be a tool and resource used to understand information, provided the correct parameters for the wanted output. However, AI is ever-changing and fast-paced, and it is the responsibility of the user to utilize these platforms correctly.
AI use to give students instant feedback, generate tailored assessment of their strengths and weaknesses is a major advancement of teaching practice. The biggest challenge is faculty and student education on how to use AI appropriately, efficiently, but also not over use it or constantly rely on its help.
AI is an advancement in field of computer science , that enables the system created to learn and adapt while collecting data to use it in the decision making.
I use AI for different projects; it helps me put my ideas into a visual output. I am open to AI in CTE, and I engage students with understanding its use, not to do their work but to help them develop critical thinking
i use AI as much as i can it does make a lot of task easier to manage
This is a bit difficult to navigate. There is a difference between the helpfulness of AI and the reliance on AI.
