I would recommend that you contact TWC directly and get an official interpretation of this change. Ask for something in an email to have documentation. You can call TWC at 512-936-3100.

Frank Hammack

The purpose is to notify TWC of changes, revisions, or new information.

The purpose is to make sure the TWC knows what you are giving the students. A PS-042R is required to ensure that it is an authorized change.

Frank Hammack

Yes and remember that each year regardless of changes that you must submit your new catalog and attachment L to the TWC as well!

Absolutely right! You get a new catalog or new addendum, be sure to send TWC a copy. Don't forget the PS-042R and a list of changes.

It is to notify the TWC of changes or revisions and allow them to authorize the changes. Otherwise, any changes made to a catalog (for example) would be deemed unauthorized during a site visit.

Bobbi,

You are correct regarding the basic purpose of the Summary of Changes PS-042R and the results of not submitting it to CSC. I would suggest that you also use this form on a regular basis to monitor changes to your catalog. Keeping a catalog on your desk where you make notes of changes when they occur will help you to make sure that you submit your changes on a timely basis.

Gerald Parr

Notifies TWC of changes that the school is trying to make for approval.

Misty,

This is correct, but you must make sure that any and every time you make a change in your catalog that you need to submit the PS-042 form along with the appropriate documentation to TWC.

Gerald Parr

The purpose of a Form PS-042R is to summarize and itemize any changes that are being proposed. This form insures all changes are documented and easily identified for both TWC and the submitting school.

Hello Richard,

This is what needs to be don any time that a change is made to the catalog and the addendum. Also make sure that you send a separate list of changes identifying what has been changed with each submission of the PS-042R

Gerald Parr

The purpose of form PS-042R is to notify TWC of requested changes to the existing catalog

Daniel,

That is correct. This extends to changes in Catalog Supplements and/or Addenda and Enrollment Agreements including price/tuition changes, staff/faculty changes, class start/end dates, and anything else that changes in these documents.

A summary of the changes being submitted for review and approval by TWC for a program revision.

Gregory,
That is correct but, if you look at the many items on the PS-042R form, changes could involve school policies, enrollment agreements, staff/faculty changes, etc. Basically, the PS-042R form is used for any changes to Catalogs, Addenda, Supplements, and Enrollment Agreements. The TWC/CSC also requests the PS-042R submission include a separate sheet describing the revised, new, and deleted changes that are summarized on the PS-042R.

JP Mehlmann

I find this form helpful as you can recap your changes to make sure that all have been noted to TWC.

Doris,
In addition to the TWC form, the school is expected to provide a narrative explanation of all changes. I suggest you review the instructions for the TWC form. Any changes to your catalog or addendum ( such as periodic staff changes, tuition, calendar, etc.) result in the need to send in the form and attachments to the TWC.

JP Mehlmann

I agree. Keeping a desk copy of your school catalog helps track necessary changes as they happen and ensures all changes are made and documented when it comes time to submission to CSC.

The PS-042 also offers a great and quick way to review when various changes were made and approved during the life of the school.

The PS042R provides a way to streamline the process. Reviewer(s)are able to quickly assess if the request is valid under the rules and regulations, before delving deeper to address the particulars of the changes.

Elisama,
That is correct. In addition, the PS-042R is used to quickly reference and review specific changes in the Catalog or Enrollment Agreement, without have to review the entire document(s). Be sure to follow the PS-042R instructions - and explanation is required for each Catalog change, which must specify the changes made.
