Microblogging

Microblogging, allows students the opportunity to think about things from a different point of view. Not everyone thinks the same, so it is important to hear other opinions and be able to analyze them, often times it helps you rethink your response to something and challenges the mind to be more objective.

Stacy,

True, also we think about microblogging as students to the blogging but make students follow experts. There are so many opportunities to connect students to experts that way. Then connect it to a discussion board for their "two cents". It takes planning but it works.

mocroblogging is a great way to encourage participation without requiring the student to write in depth information.

Joe,

True and there is a use for a tool like that. It can be a great way to do formative assessment.
