Do you think it's a good idea to have a class facebook page? That way, all students in the class can have one place to communicate at.

I know several people you use a facebook page for their courses. You can close it to just your students. Most instructors I know who have used it find it valuable.

In regards to this question, I am on the fence. I guess I am old fashioned and still stuck on a more traditional method. On the other hand, this could be a tool to get the students more involved since a lot of people are on Facebook. I am just wondering what the "non-facebookers" would do to adjust.

Facebook is just a tool yet one students need to be aware of. You need to make sure Facebook utilization meets the measurement of your outcomes. Facebook isn't hard to learn so if you are using it to assess an objectives then non facebookers will have to adjust.
