I use both methods. The issues I see many students encounter I will cover in a live lecture or live tutoring session. I also save this for those who want to view later on at their leisure to help them complete the task and understand the material.

Terri,

You have great strategies in place to provide your students with great learning experiences. Both tools can provide you with so much flexibility with your students.

I agree also. Students will need both tools ( asynchronous and synchronous learning) to be successful in the LMS classes. In online classes, it is important to reach out to student and have real time conversation with them.

Sodang,

I agree but many of them won't use them unless there is something for them i.e. grades. I don't understand why they don't but it happens.
