Using Active Learning to Enhance Critical Learning
This module helped me understand how active learning can enhance critical thinking by encouraging students to analyze information, consider different perspectives, and develop their own conclusions rather than simply memorizing content. I learned that instructors play an important role in guiding this process through clear instructions, meaningful discussions, and opportunities for collaboration. I intend to apply these strategies in my environmental science classes by presenting real-world environmental challenges, encouraging students to evaluate different solutions, and creating activities that promote discussion, problem-solving, and independent thinking. My goal is to help students develop critical thinking skills that they can apply both academically and in their everyday lives.
