Faculty must be trained  with the proper technological resources to meet the learning outcomes of the online learner effectively. Oftentimes students are lost due to this major perplexity. If an instructor is not trained properly on how to deliver active learning methods in an online platform, they will revert back to the traditional style of teaching, or become unmotivated to incorporate active learning. This can become a problem for the students learning outcomes not being obtained and instructors receiving poor course evaluations which could lead to faculty losing their teaching position.
