Instructor Bio's

The way this module emphasized the importance of instructor credentials is an eye opener. Personally, I like sending my students to my Linkedin.com account to learn about my background and to get "linked" with me. Do you use any other tools than Linkedin.com to establish credibility with your students?

Sean,

I don't focus so much on my vitae as I do trying to connect with the students on a personal note. I typically include an introduction to the course that includes enough of my background to establish my expertise in the course as well as personal aspects of my life that students might connect with. I ask them to do the same and it establishes an initial understanding of who I am and who they are and commonalities that we can use to learn more about each other over the length of the course.

I don't recall reading any students bio's the faculty has them, but not the students, Ill have to mention that to administration.
