Length of learning

Do online students typically take more or less time to complete their total education than the traditional on ground student?

Melanie:
I am not aware of any empirical data to support an answer to your question. I am sharing with you what I know some institutions practise when they offer online versions of their programs. Institutions with which I work, and these are all graduate level programs, offer their programs in such a manner that students are required to take one course at a time. The duration of these courses range from five to seven weeks depending on the nature fo the content. Students usually have a one week break between courses. In this model, I believe students can take less time to complete the program.

I believe this is totally a student by student. Depending on the drive and motivation of the student will make the end decision.
