This module prompted me to think more carefully about how I evaluate student work and provide feedback. In nursing education, I need to assess both the stated answer and the clinical reasoning behind it. I plan to use a clear rubric more consistently and explore whether AI can help organize submissions and highlight patterns that deserve closer review. I would verify its output, make the final assessment myself, and give students feedback they can use to improve their reasoning and patient safety decisions.
This module reinforced that AI should support assessment without replacing professional judgment. It can help organize evaluation notes, identify patterns across student work, and improve consistency, but the instructor must remain responsible for determining competency and readiness. At Decolovers Institute, I intend to use AI to analyze anonymized rubric results and recognize common difficulties across practical projects. This will help us identify what needs to be retaught and provide more consistent feedback, while our instructors continue making all final grading decisions based on their professional expertise.
I've learned that when using AI to evaluate student work is to support assessment work without compromising the judgement, fairness and standards - not to replace our own professional
AI is good at detecting bigger picture patterns that can be missed as instructors are so consumed by individual assignments and reports.
I found that instructors can use AI to help identify areas in student work that might have been missed by the instructor.
Excited and curious to see how AI can assist in ELA tasks; doesn't seem possible, but we will see! I am certainly open to advice and real-life suggestions.

One thing I learned about evaluating student work with AI is that AI can be a valuable tool for improving the efficiency, consistency, and quality of assessment and feedback. AI tools can help instructors quickly review student submissions, identify common misconceptions, generate rubric-aligned feedback, and provide students with more immediate responses to their work.
