I just realized that I hold a true quality of a Gen X er.

Funny, just the other day I was reflecting and it dawned on me the differences of the generations learning styles and influences that happened in the era that are generations had been exposed to. As I read this ed 117, I laughed when they described us Gen X'ers to the T. And this is before I had read this CEE course.
Understanding the difference between the generations is a valuable tool in clinical instructing. Esp. when assessing thier needs.

I totally agree. I used to get frustrated with the GenX learners until I got to understand why they learn the way they do.

Being a Boomer having been bored, I mean taught, by a Vet I now see the differences in learning types. This was very enlightening.

Yes, Gen X is well described. I totally relate to the descriptions of us. I find it hardest to relate to Gen Y though. The Boomers I get, the Vets I get, but Gen Y is tricky for me even knowing what they are "about."

I hope that the influence I received from the Verterans and Baby Boomers can be passed on to GenY. I can't pin point it but something is missing with our youth today.
