Teaching large groups
Breaking up larger groups into smaller groups is a great way to get students to "gel" together especially for the first semester.
I also break my large classes into smaller groups, however when i do i also ask them as a gruop to come up with five questions per group about our lecture and we then have a wide variety of angles too reveiw the subject matter.
Hi Scott,
It is amazing how effective students can be in a group. Five brains are better than one.

Breaking into small groups is beneficial and challenging. It is beneficial because it bring students together, allows to know each other by creating something together. On the other hand, many people dislike group activities and get intimidated by other students.
