Stress and Boundaries

I loved the scientific definition of stress as a conflict between our goals and capabilities. It seems to me that knowing your boundaries (what you are capable of completing) is important to reducing your stress. Do you agree that knowing your boundaries and learning to say "no" can help reduce your stress?

I believe you have a very valid point. As a Massage Therapist for over 20 years, one of the similarities I notice between people with high stress (perhaps to the point of having developed fibromyalgia or some other immune disorder) is their tendency to say yes to others and no to themselves. I do believe not acknowledging that there are limitations (time, money, whatever) to what you can do causes us to stress out.

I agree with you Christi. I have yet to set boundaries and really need to do so for my own sanity and those that I live and work with. Great advice here.
