Online disscussion groups
Wow...what a great idea ! I think that would open up so many positive thinking doors in the fact that student can share their ideas and thoughts with teachers and come together as one unified group .
I teach online as well as onground, and in many ways the online forums afford my online students a way to communicate with each other as well as with me. I think you can achieve the same sort of results with your onground students if they had access to an online forum. Also, you could use the forum to post information about the class, especially when your students are out absent or on an unexpected trip that keeps them away from class for days.
Indeed, leveraging the power of asynchronous online communication in onground courses really gives you the best of both worlds.
