I have found that when the student is motivated ,it is more like he or she is on a mission,they know what they want to accomplish and they are much more enthusiastic about seeing the end result. this makes the teaching of the subject much more rewarding also because the motivation is very apparent and present!
Ys, I agree. Students corelate the motivation from the real life experience and what they went went through that motivates them to do accomplish a goal
steve, how do you define motivated? For some students despite their motivation they may experience other rocks in their road. How do you determine which students need help removing those rocks versus those that just lack the will to take ownership over their education? Thanks for anything you can share.

I agree. The more the students are motivated the more motivated I am also. The subject matter is discussed more in detail and students are much more engaged. I also find that I develop a deeper understanding of the subject matter.
