Types of questioning

There are 3 different types of questioning techniques. They are: Closed, open, and procedural. The closed question draws from your personal memory, open questions require more than simple recall, and procedural questions ask you to follow a certain set of steps. Open questions should be the crust of your questioning, engaging the student and forcing them to participate in the lecture.

Ted,

I agree with you. I used closed questions when I am limited with time and procedural ones allow me to ensure that students know the appropriae steps.
