the style of styles!

One of the hardest things to get a handle on when we learn that there is more than one way to learn, is to know how to incorporate all the different learning styles into a lesson plan. For several years we have given the students a booklet so they can see that not everyone learns the same way.
When it comes to making sure that the students will have their style incorporated into the lesson plan it can create an almost chaotic environment. Chaotic not in a bad way though. Having the information available in all forms & styles is a great way to have students succeed.

Hi Jeff- Teaching to the learning styles does not have to be chaotic. It does, however, take planning. It is not realistic that you will address every style in every class. Just making an effort to do do as often as possible is what is needed. Best wishes- Susan

I try a variety of "styles" during the first few classes. I try to determine what the majority of my students are comfortable with during these first few classes. I then try to incorporate the most preferred styles and pepper in the other styles so students are receiving a well rounded delivery style from me.

Hi DeeAnn - That's exactly the way to teach to the learning styles- great work!
