Keeping students involved in class

I find that group settings are always a good way to keep students and involved in the class topics and a great way to retain students to class. The competition of activities and games I have found to be very informational for students and an enjoyable experience for the students. Any other suggestions?

Michael,
On the right track with these activities. I also use role playing and case studies with a lot of success if they wold work for your content area and delivery format.

Understand the career decision-making process

Keep in mind that students differ widely in their readiness to make these decisions. This can be an anxious and confusing time for them, but it can be an exciting and enjoyable experience as well.

I have always used this method of instruction because it confirms whether or not your student really get the material.
If they don't fully engage then you have to take another route for delivery. Keeping them involved tells me if learning is taking place.
