I have learned how important these policies are. I now have a better understanding and i intend to use these tools in my career.

Within this module i have a clearer understanding of the students rights. I intend to use these practices in handling students information.

FERPA is the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. Student have the right to their records. Institution have 45 days to comply with students requests have the right to their records. Students records should not be disclosed to anyone else without concent.

Most career colleges have established standards that define their core operating principles and guide institutional practices. These standards often build upon federal and state regulations and accreditation requirements to ensure students have access to the essential information needed to make informed decisions. Institutional standards may address enrollment information, trial orientation opportunities, and transparent disclosures regarding financial aid and student outcomes.

I've learned about the rights and privacy protections of students, and the potential penalties for violations of FERPA
