Unlicensed Institutions being allowed to operate

What is the state doing about all the unlicensed institutions that are operating illegally in the state of Florida? Why is it the most of us continue to follow all the rules and regulations, pay all the fees associated with the CIE and do continuing education classes while other unregulated institutions are free to operate as they please even after continued complaints to the state and CIE for years? How is this fair?

Advertising on Groupon and Living Social

Is it legal for an Institution to advertise their program on Groupon or Living Social at a discounted rate of over 50% Does this not contradict the enrollment agreement itself?

Your institution may have an association that stays in contact with grads. There may be many benefits to grads such as informational newsletters, invitations to special events, life-long placement service, and more. Do you think prospective students would enjoy hearing about how your school will assist them after graduation?

I didn't know transfer of credits to and from your institution does not have to be disclosed unless the student asks.

Directors

In the admissions department, it is necessary to have team meetings. Our director of admissions does a great job to be "one step ahead". It is great to regroup, discuss necessary changes, continually discuss our program, and use each other as resources to better ourselves.

Unique

Knowing your program is key! Believeing in your program is imperative. Schedules, classes, student obligations, privileges-- just a few things that make my specific program so unique and I stand behind that!

Resourceful

Not only have we gained more in depth knowledge of our careers as Admissions Associates, but to have the resources right at our fingertips is fantastic! The terms, commission rules and regulations- all a necessity for our team.

When you as an admissions agent feel that the student is not a good fit for the program and you are sure that the student will fail if he/she attends: How can that be relayed to the student without the student feeling discriminated against?
