My new goals

I am really very satisfied with the course I just finished. Even though I have teaching experience, this is a new approach in the educational process. I am ready to use the skills I learned. Keeping in mind that learning has to be a creative cooperative, collaborative process.  I will use the new technologies, and encourage the use of these tools.  It will be a more enjoyable process, and with better results.

yup

hard test

teaching with technology

I learned much about fair usage and copy rights from this course.

Using Tech to engage

I find that power point presentations followed by one short 3-6 minute you tube video the day after demonstrating a cooking technique, helps to refresh and reinforce the previous days demo.

ED127 Tablets in the classroom.

Tablets have to be used as educational tools not admissions tools.  Always be sure that there is an educational value.

Integrating Technology Into Education ED126

I hope this course helps others learn what is involved to successfully Integrate Technology into their progams.

intro to the present

I am sure I can find away to make use of more multimedia factions for my students,, I am going to have to get permission to do so.   copyrights are not the only kinds of restrictions. and fratiniozing laws also are inforce.. wish me luck

mix it up

As we teach, I try to keep in mine that students learn differently,  so I mix up the information the need to obtain from books, videos, demos, guest speakers.  Remember keep it interesting to keep student attention active.

Engaging Students!!

Millenials are frequently more tech-savvy than their instructors and need a stimulating environment in which to learn.  The course provided some great ideas on using technology to engage these computer-age students as well as platforms to bring in older student to elevate their learning experience.  I plan to utilize the currently LMS more effectively by using the newer features, embedding interactive materials and creating an asynchronous discussion board for tutoring.  I also plan to explore Second Life for simulation and other virtual platforms to enhance student learning.

Kinesthetic learning is good.

We have students draw anatomical systems on chalk outlines outside on the concrete.

Cell Phones in Classroom

I would like to collect cell phones in the classroom so as to minimize distractions.  Is this a good idea?
