Course delivery in E - Learning stands upon the CDP (Course Delivery Platform) and therafter CDT (Course Delivery Techniques). This combination is simultanously supported by Learning support combined with technical support to ensure the overall coherent course delivery.

Such infrastructure allows for further synchronizing the structural integrity of the course, Intelectual interaction supported by technical supports in all E lerning platforms for Course delivery as a whole

The interaction of the technical support in training the students and the instructors sure is a two dimensional undertaking but its simultanous performance and outcome will affect course delivery at all levels of instruction.

To be successful in facilitating in an online teaching and learning environment the course delivery system must have a level of clarity, organization and a systematic approach concerning the information that is to be delivered by facilitators to students and the information that needs to come from students to the class environment. Course Delivery Systems (CMS) are a valuable tool that assist to make this happen. It seems to be very important for facilitators/instructors to gain early access to become familiar with these systems and their capabilities in order to properly organize the information so that it can be efficiently and effectively distributed to students.

I found this helpful and supportive to all our instructors.

What's been most helpful at this time is the review of how to organize the course, particularly the coure modules.  I tend toward creativity but when converting a face-to face course to an online format, simplicity and consistency are more important.

The learning enviorment requires the instructor to understand the online tools being used.  Adequate training and support are key to success.

As faculty we need to fully understnad the learning management system as well as student expectations so we can be a resrouce to our students. Lack of knowledge and use will result in learner frustration.

Review layout of CMS and learn how to access features. If you learn how to function within the CMS, then your content knowledge and student support can be maximized.

Looks as if online courses are a good way to keep students on track. However, technical ability is not always the same with the students. This needs to be a priority.

There are many facets to on-line learning that we are in the routine of doing in class, but I will need to make a deliberate effort to apply in a different manner so my students feel supported.

To ensure students are comfortable and successful with the online course - the instructor must fully understand how to use the CMS.

I teach adult students and I realize that they will feel more comfortable with the course and their learning if they know they can rely on me for both educational and technical support. I need to connect with my students quickly and maintain a working relationship with them.

I plan on being a coach and personal trainer for them to offer encourage to them that they can attain their GED.

Teacher prep is imperative to pulling off a sucessful online course

Reply to Anniece Williams's post: I agree. If faculty do not spend time preparing and especially understanding the on line platform, all the subject knowledge in the world will be will not make up for that defficiency.

Being there to support your students through this process is very important.  They can get frustrated so be available to assist.  Also, before assigning online lessons, provide an orientation to explain how the process will work. :)

The course indicates having a good content management system (CMS) and a good familiarity with it. is the key to teaching online.  Almost all aspects of interacting with students are managed from the "CMS."

Student enthusiasm, attrition, and outcomes are heavily dependent on timely feedback, answers to questions, grades, etc.  Much as in a live classroom.

I have learned that I have a lot to learn in this new transition from ground instsruction to on-line instruction.  I do have a small advantage since if previously taught on-line for about a year, a year ago

Just as regular instruction instructor presence has to be seen and felt by the students. Problems with the learning platform can be overcome with prompt attention by instructor or platform support

Just as in regular instruction structure and active participation is key. Students must see and feel the instructor's precense and feedback

Great list to go over when building an online course using a CMS.
