I have learned that regulatory compliance is a campus-wide responsibility and cannot be managed by one department alone. Every department plays an important role in ensuring the institution follows federal regulations, maintains accurate documentation, and protects the integrity of student records and financial aid processes. Communication and collaboration between Admissions, Academics, Student Accounts, Financial Aid, and Career Services are essential to maintaining compliance and avoiding errors that could negatively affect students or the institution.
I intend to apply what I have learned by continuing to communicate regularly with other departments and ensuring that academic changes, attendance concerns, withdrawals, leaves of absence, and student status updates are reported promptly and accurately. As a Program Director, I recognize that decisions made within the academic department can have an impact on financial aid eligibility, student accounts, and institutional reporting.
